Melasma, in particular, is sometimes brought on by hormones in pregnancy, birth control pills, or hormone replacement medication. It is often worsened by sun exposure, heat or other skin reactions causing inflammation. Many may be prone to melasma due to the use of a specific medication and even some medical conditions such as thyroid disease.
What is the procedure?
We freshly formulate the mask immediately before your procedure. It is applied during an office visit which takes only about half an hour. Patients leave the office with the masque on their face and are provided with
instructions and time to remove the masque. Patients are also given easy-to-follow instructions to follow a regimen involving the use of cleanser and creams which are provided in a kit which is included. There is no pain
experienced during or after the treatment and the first few days the feeling is like that of a mild-to-moderate sunburn.
What results can I expect?
Patients usually see a dramatic improvement or removal of dark spots, brown patches or pigmentation after the regimen is followed. For the first several days there is significant peeling so that the ingredients can work

Who should not be treated?
